These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain how JTC Education FZ LLC ("JTC Education", "we", "us", "our") provides tutoring services and access to our website and App ("Platform"). By creating an account, booking lessons, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to the Policies referenced below. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
1. Who we are
JTC Education FZ LLC, JT030113, Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Email: [email protected]. Website: www.jtceducation.com.
2. Definitions
- "User" — any person using our App or services.
- "Student" — the individual receiving tuition.
- "Parent/Guardian" — the legal parent or guardian of a Student under 18, responsible for creating/managing the Student's account, accepting these Terms on their behalf, and for all payments and compliance.
- "Self-Paying Student" — a Student aged 18+ who creates and manages their own account and is the contracting party.
- "Tutor" — an independent contractor who provides tutoring services through JTC Education.
- "Lesson" — any scheduled tutoring session.
- "App" — the JTC Education mobile and web application.
- "Policies" — the policies listed in Section 3, all of which form part of these Terms.
- "Regular Weekly Plan" — a recurring weekly lesson arrangement at the same time with the same Tutor. Each Regular Weekly Plan is governed by the billing arrangement accepted at enrolment — either a Monthly Billing Agreement authorising automatic monthly billing, or termly billing in advance (see Section 7).
- "Monthly Billing Agreement" — the agreement a Parent/Guardian (or Self-Paying Student) completes — in the App or via a secure link we provide — to authorise automatic monthly billing for a Regular Weekly Plan, by confirming the required checkboxes and providing a Card on File.
- "Ad-hoc Lesson" — a non-recurring lesson booked as needed, without an ongoing weekly commitment.
- "Card on File" — a payment card stored on the account with JTC Education's payment processor, authorised by the cardholder for the charges described in these Terms.
- "Preview Invoice" — an invoice shared with you ahead of billing, showing the lessons scheduled for the next month.
- "Billing Date" — the date on which the automatic monthly charge is taken from the Card on File.
3. Related policies
These Terms incorporate:
- Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
- Medical Note Policy
- Refund Policy
- Regular Attendance Policy
- Private Groups Terms & Conditions (where applicable)
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
Together with any guidelines or notices referenced in these Terms. If any inconsistency arises, the relevant Policy published on the website at the relevant time shall prevail.
4. Eligibility and accounts
- Students under 18 may only use the service through a student account linked to and supervised by a Parent/Guardian account. The Parent/Guardian is the contracting party.
- Where a Student is under 18, the Parent/Guardian consents to JTC Education communicating directly with the Student for operational and scheduling purposes (email, WhatsApp, telephone, automated notifications).
- Student booking permission. A Parent/Guardian may, via the App or their Monthly Billing Agreement, authorise their Student to book, reschedule, and cancel lessons directly from the account. While this permission is active, any lesson booked by the Student is treated as authorised by the Parent/Guardian and is chargeable to the Card on File — or billed under the account's billing arrangement — in the same way as a booking made by the Parent/Guardian. The Parent/Guardian remains fully responsible for all lessons booked and charges incurred while the permission is active. The permission can be turned off at any time via the App or by contacting JTC Education; turning it off applies to future bookings only and does not affect lessons already booked or delivered.
- You must provide accurate information, keep login secure, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised account activity.
- Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information (including falsified medical notes) may result in suspension or termination, and we may recover any losses incurred.
5. Types of lessons
- Regular Weekly Lesson — a recurring weekly lesson at the same time with the same Tutor.
- Trial Lesson — your first lesson with a particular tutor. Trial lessons are paid upfront and do not enrol you in a Regular Weekly Plan or any other ongoing billing arrangement.
- Ad-hoc Lesson — a non-recurring lesson, subject to Tutor availability.
- Private Group Lesson — two or more students attending together, following the Private Groups Terms & Conditions.
Private Group Lessons follow these Terms and Policies, together with the Private Groups Terms & Conditions, which apply additionally and prevail in the event of any inconsistency.
6. Regular weekly plan
A Regular Weekly Plan secures a recurring weekly lesson at a fixed time with the same Tutor and is intended for students who can attend consistently throughout the academic term.
Enrolment in a Regular Weekly Plan is completed — in the App, or via a secure link provided by JTC Education — by confirming a billing arrangement: either completing a Monthly Billing Agreement (accepting the plan's terms, confirming the required checkboxes, and saving a Card on File for automatic monthly billing), or paying a termly invoice in advance (see Section 7), where payment of the invoice confirms enrolment and acceptance of these Terms and Policies. A Trial Lesson or Ad-hoc Lesson alone does not constitute enrolment. Each weekly slot is enrolled separately; adding a new weekly slot requires a separate enrolment.
You may cancel a Regular Weekly Plan at any time, with no minimum commitment. Refunds for any unused prepaid lessons are handled per our Refund Policy. Frequent cancellations may also affect the eligibility of the weekly slot — see our Regular Attendance Policy.
7. Billing arrangements
For Regular Weekly Plans, two billing arrangements are available:
- Automatic monthly billing — the default arrangement, using a stored card on file. Full details are set out in section 8 below.
- Termly billing in advance — an alternative offered on request, where automatic monthly billing is not suitable. The term's regular lessons are invoiced once per term and payable in advance; lessons are confirmed once the invoice is paid.
Ad-hoc Lessons are billed per booking at the time of confirmation.
All arrangements are subject to the same Cancellation and Reschedule Policy, Refund Policy, Regular Attendance Policy, and Medical Note Policy.
All lessons are billed and payable in advance. Outstanding invoices may result in lessons being paused or weekly slots being released.
8. Card on file and billing
You may store a card on your account to make booking and payment more convenient. How that card is used depends on your billing arrangement:
- Regular Weekly Plans: once you have completed a Monthly Billing Agreement, the stored card is used for automatic monthly billing as described below.
- Ad-hoc lessons: the stored card is charged for each lesson at the time of booking; each booking authorises that single charge, and no recurring monthly billing applies. Before charging for an ad-hoc lesson, JTC Education confirms the booking with the account holder — except where the booking is made by the Student under an active Student booking permission (see Section 4), in which case the Student's booking serves as that confirmation.
How monthly billing works
- JTC Education will charge your saved payment method on the 26th of each month in UAE time (GMT+4) — or shortly after, if processing is delayed — for your agreed regular lessons in the following calendar month.
- Lessons that fall on public holidays, religious holidays, school breaks, or other holidays are included in monthly billing unless cancelled in advance.
- JTC Education will always send a preview invoice before any payment is processed. The preview reflects scheduled lessons at the time of issue and may be adjusted before billing to reflect any cancellations or additions.
- Charges are processed in AED by default. Alternative currencies may be offered on request.
- Charges are inclusive of any applicable taxes, including VAT where it applies.
- Any available credit on your account is applied before your payment method is charged. Credit is held in the currency in which it was paid.
Cancellations and the billing cycle
Lessons cancelled before the billing date are not charged. Lessons cancelled after billing are returned as account credit and applied to future invoices, in line with our 24-hour Cancellation and Reschedule Policy.
Additional lessons
Additional lessons appear on the invoice for the month in which they take place. If that invoice has already been paid, the additional lesson is charged separately at the time of booking.
Ending automatic billing
Automatic billing can be stopped by cancelling your Regular Weekly Plan at any time before the next billing date — via the App, or by contacting JTC Education directly.
When automatic billing ends, your stored card is no longer used for any charges unless you re-authorise it. Your stored payment method may be retained for a reasonable period afterwards, in line with our Privacy Policy. You may request immediate removal of your stored card at any time via the App or by contacting JTC Education directly.
Card security
Card details are processed and stored by our payment provider, Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. JTC Education does not store full card information.
Updating or removing your card
You may update or remove your card at any time via the App.
If payment cannot be collected
If a scheduled payment cannot be taken — whether because the card has been removed without replacement, or because attempts to charge it have failed — JTC Education will make two further automatic attempts. If all attempts fail, the account will move to overdue and your weekly slot may be released.
Authorisation
By completing your Monthly Billing Agreement and providing a card on file, you confirm that:
- you are authorised to use the card for both the initial payment and the ongoing monthly billing described in these Terms and in your Monthly Billing Agreement;
- you authorise JTC Education to charge the card for the Regular Weekly Plan and any additional lessons booked under the account — including lessons booked directly by the Student where you have enabled Student booking permission (see Section 4);
- this authorisation continues until you remove the card, cancel your Regular Weekly Plan, or otherwise agree a different billing arrangement with JTC Education.
Chargebacks
You agree not to initiate a chargeback without first contacting JTC Education to resolve the issue. Unfounded or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension and recovery of any fees, costs, or losses incurred.
Refunds
Refunds and credit balances are handled per our Refund Policy. Your credit balance and transaction history are available in your Account Statement.
9. Cancellations and reschedules
All lessons follow our Cancellation and Reschedule Policy, Medical Note Policy and Refund Policy, which set out the full terms.
A lesson is confirmed once it has been charged or paid. The terms below apply to all confirmed lessons:
- Cancellations more than 24 hours before the lesson's start time: the lesson fee is returned to your account as credit for use against future lessons or services.
- Cancellations less than 24 hours before the start time are late cancellations and are not refundable as credit. Where appropriate, your tutor will assign catch-up work, or the student may submit work before the start time for marking and feedback.
- Reschedules requested less than 24 hours before the start time are treated as late cancellations; the original fee is neither refundable nor transferable, and any new lesson is charged separately.
- Lessons booked within 24 hours of their start time are non-refundable, and any cancellation is treated as a late cancellation.
- No-shows — where the student has not joined and no notice of lateness is received within 30 minutes of the start time — are treated as late cancellations: chargeable and not refundable.
- A lesson fee is waived with a valid medical note under our Medical Note Policy, provided JTC Education or the tutor is notified before the start time and the note is provided within 48 hours of the start.
- If a tutor cancels, the lesson is rescheduled where possible, or refunded in full.
Regular weekly lessons continue as scheduled through public holidays, religious holidays, and school breaks; to cancel or reschedule one, the same terms above apply. Where cancellations occur frequently while a Regular Weekly Plan is in place, our Regular Attendance Policy may also apply.
Account credit can be returned to the original payment method for a 5% transaction fee, in line with our Refund Policy.
10. Tutor availability
In cases where your tutor is no longer able to continue with your Regular Weekly Plan, an alternative tutor may be offered, subject to availability. We cannot guarantee that the same rate, day, or time will be available. If no alternative tutor is available, or if you choose not to accept the alternative offered, any lessons that have been paid for but will not be delivered will be refunded in full.
11. Relationship with tutors and approved communication
- Tutors are independent contractors.
- You must not hire Tutors privately, arrange lessons outside JTC Education, or pay Tutors directly — doing so may result in account termination and a placement/introduction fee.
- All communication with Tutors must take place through the App or channels explicitly authorised by JTC Education.
- You must not request or share personal contact details or communicate privately via WhatsApp, email, phone, or social media without written permission.
12. Parent / student responsibilities

16. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended for breach of Terms/Policies, App misuse, attempted hiring of Tutors outside JTC Education, abusive behaviour, failed payments, or safeguarding/communication violations. Lessons already delivered remain payable upon termination.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify JTC Education, its Tutors, directors and staff from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities or expenses arising from your use of services, breach of Terms, or interactions with Tutors.
18. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
No guarantee of specific academic outcomes, grades or admissions results. No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free App access. Total liability limited to the value of the affected Lesson(s). Not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Not responsible for disruptions caused by Student/Parent's device, software, or internet connection. Nothing limits liability for fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

20. Changes to these terms
May update Terms or Policies from time to time. Material updates communicated via email or App notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
21. Assignment
