From 1 July 2026, JTC Education will no longer be offering new group tuition. To support continuity for our current families, existing groups may continue in line with the terms below. For the purposes of these terms, an existing group is a group of students who were already learning together with JTC Education during the 2025/26 academic year.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Classes can only be cancelled or rescheduled if all group members agree and notify us at least 24 hours before the lesson start time. Families are kindly asked to coordinate this agreement directly with one another, as JTC Education and the tutor are not able to arrange or confirm cancellations on behalf of the group.
If the class takes place as scheduled, because at least one student would still like to attend, a recording will be shared with any students who are unable to attend and notify us ahead of the lesson start time. As such, by joining a group, you give permission for a class to be recorded and shared when other group members are absent.
If a tutor needs to cancel a group lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled where possible (subject to all group members agreeing on the new time), or refunded in full as account credit to each member.
Payments and fee adjustments
Group lesson fees are based on the number of students in the group. If a student leaves, the lesson fee will be recalculated to reflect the updated group size.
If a group member’s payment is not completed when due, the student may no longer be able to continue as part of the group. In such cases, lessons may be cancelled and refunded as credit to the other group members, or repriced in line with the revised group size.
Where possible, any change to the fee structure will be applied from the next invoice only.
Adding new students to a group
Existing groups are closed to new members. Students who leave a group cannot be replaced by another student or rejoin the group at a later date.
Tutor continuity
Existing groups may continue only with their current tutor. If the current tutor becomes permanently unavailable, it will not be possible to appoint a replacement tutor and, as such, the group will come to an end.
Splitting into private lessons
If students within a group wish to continue working separately, the original group slot will remain with the student who did not choose to leave.
If the decision to part ways is mutual, priority to keep the slot will be given to the student who originally held it, unless the families agree on a different arrangement.
When group tuition ends
A group will come to an end if any of the following apply:
- All members graduate, decide to stop lessons, or choose to continue as private students.
- The group cannot agree on a lesson time that works for all members within the tutor’s availability.
- The current tutor becomes permanently unavailable.
Where the notice requirements set out under Cancellations and rescheduling have been met, any prepaid lessons that will no longer take place will be refunded as account credit, which can be used towards private lessons with JTC Education. Account credit may also be refunded in accordance with our standard Refund Policy.
