A First-Class graduate in Physics from Durham, Syed distinguished himself by ranking in the top 5% before pursuing postgraduate study in Mathematical & Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford. During his studies, he received awards for academic excellence in two consecutive years, as well as a subject prize in Mathematical Methods for Physics.
Since beginning his tutoring career in 2022, Syed has been committed to making challenging concepts accessible for those who need strong foundations, while also pushing high-achieving students to reach ambitious academic goals.
Syed began tutoring in 2022 and has since taught Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics at A Level, and all sciences up to GCSE level. His teaching experience spans an exceptional range of learner profiles—from refugee students with no prior knowledge, to highly advanced learners preparing for Olympiads. This has allowed him to quickly understand exactly a student’s needs and help progress forward in the most efficient manner possible.

Syed is excellent at teaching, intelligent and very easy to understand. He prepares well-structured lessons that are exam-specific and comprehensive, breaking down topics for me in a very manageable way and made it much easier to practice them than when I was trying to get through tougher topics by myself.
