Further to 15+ years of private and group tutoring of 11+ students through to A level, Sean’s experience as an examiner with Pearson Edexcel has provided him a unique understanding of the ambiguous English Assessment Objectives that can so often elude and confuse students. This understanding is complemented and amplified by his time at the education ministry of Korea, where he was tasked with the lead role in developing the GCSE-equivalent of the English Language & Literature curriculum, allowing an opportunity to pull apart the intricacies of the UK Curriculum in a way that classroom teaching couldn’t allow.

Finally, Sean took the lead in pastoral care and student welfare during his previous work at a company dedicated to supporting international students in their transfer to UK universities. As such, he is no stranger to the stress and worries that shadow students sitting demanding English exams or refining their UCAS personal statements. That’s why Sean’s teaching is always coupled with enthusiasm, encouragement and friendly advice about workload management – all with a view to ensuring all his students entering exams are happy and confident.
