Mrs Rachael supported me in IGCSE and A Level Biology. I achieved a 9 in IGCSE and an A in A Level Biology. I really enjoyed my lessons as she made learning fun and never made me feel bad for getting answers wrong.
With over 20 years’ experience in education, Rachael is a qualified teacher, former Head of Science, and an experienced examiner. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and an MPhil in Immunology, combining a strong academic foundation with extensive classroom, marking and leadership experience.
Having worked in both the UK and the Middle East, Rachael understands how curricula across the world compare, the challenges students may face, and how to bridge these approaches to support strong academic performance.
Rachael began her journey in education in 2007 and has since built a highly accomplished career as both a science educator and academic leader. Since 2014, she has held senior leadership positions, including Head of Science, in prestigious British schools across both Qatar and the UK.
Across her career, she has taught 11+, 13+ and KS3 Science, as well as GCSE and IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and AS Chemistry / A Level Biology, working across all major exam boards. Alongside her teaching, she has supported numerous students through competitive medical applications and interviews, with successful placements in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, pharmacy, and dietetics.
For over 12 years, Rachael has worked with a major examination board as a Controlled Assessment Moderator and IGCSE examiner. This provides her with valuable insight into how students are assessed and what is required to achieve the highest marks.
Now focused exclusively on one-to-one teaching, Rachael is dedicated to building strong scientific foundations while equipping her students to apply their knowledge effectively in high-stakes exam settings.
