An Oxford graduate, Nishen holds a First-Class Honours MEng in Engineering Science, where he earned the distinguished Collection Prize for achieving the highest marks in all term examinations. After completing his degree, he chose to pursue education full-time, teaching at one of the world’s most prestigious British boarding schools.
His academic foundation — including straight A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry — underpins the clarity, precision, and depth he brings to his teaching.
After graduating, Nishen chose to dedicate himself fully to education and secured a teaching position at Harrow School — one of the UK’s most selective and internationally renowned institutions, whose alumni include world leaders, Nobel Laureates, and some of the most academically accomplished students globally. During his time there, he taught Mathematics, supported students with Special Educational Needs, and contributed to the curriculum design for the Advanced Level Design Engineering course.
Since 2021, Nishen has also been working as a professional tutor, teaching more than fifty students from KS3 to A Level in Maths and Physics, Chemistry at GCSE level, and engineering undergraduates up to second year. His experience spans a wide range of abilities and goals, from stretching high-achieving and gifted learners to providing structured, methodical support for students who need help building problem-solving skills.
I'd like to thank Nishen for all his support with my son's PAT preparation. He found him to be a very thorough, thoughtful and patient teacher - all the best qualities for the role. He’s feeling calm and relatively confident going into the exam, much thanks to Nishen's input.
Nishen spent a lot of his time reviewing personal statement drafts, helping with admissions test practice questions, giving me mock interviews, and answering any questions I had about the whole process. He was an excellent teacher, he gave me very useful criticisms and helped me make improvements, and was very supportive throughout the time. In no small part thanks to him, I am now studying at Oxford.
Nishen is really devoted to his work. He's always patient with all our questions and gives us really constructive advice. Without his help, we wouldn't have finished our challenging task.
