Louisa.

Louisa has over a decade of experience in Geography education, spanning classroom teaching, departmental leadership, and GCSE examining. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health, Development and Sustainability, as well as a PGCE in Secondary Geography. Having taught in both the UK and the Middle East, Louisa brings a strong understanding of the challenges that international students may face when working across different curricula and assessment frameworks.

Through her examiner experience, Louisa has developed a clear understanding of how Geography responses are assessed, where students most commonly fall short, and what it takes to be awarded top-band marks.

Teaching Experience

Louisa began her teaching career in 2016 and has since taught Geography from KS3 through to KS5 across all major exam boards. She progressed quickly within the classroom into senior leadership roles, including Head of Humanities, Head of Year, and Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator, reflecting a broader understanding of how Geography sits within the wider academic landscape.

Throughout her career, Louisa has been dedicated to making Geography both tangible and relevant. She has led initiatives such as a G20 Simulation Workshop, providing students with the opportunity to engage directly with global policymaking, and has supported students representing their schools at Harvard Model United Nations in Dubai, Oxford, and London.

In her role as a professional online tutor, Louisa is guided by the impact that focused, one-to-one support can have on both student confidence and academic outcomes.
