Since 2012, Gemma has taught and tutored Mathematics from Key Stage 1 through to A Level. Her experience spans the full attainment range, giving her a secure understanding of how mathematical knowledge develops over time and how to drive measurable progress at every stage.
Following her Master’s degree in Engineering and her service as a Captain in the British Army, Gemma completed her PGCE and gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), going on to establish a successful career in secondary education. As a classroom teacher, she specialised in GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Statistics at both Foundation and Higher tiers, supporting students across the full ability spectrum.
She now works largely online, delivering structured yet adaptable one-to-one tuition. With extensive expertise in digital whiteboard platforms, she has developed a highly effective virtual teaching approach that is focused and interactive.
