My experience with JTC Education has been nothing but positive since I joined. The value added from both the tutor's and tutee's perspectives is clear, and I appreciate the balance between the structure provided and the autonomy tutors have in their teaching approaches.

The app makes teaching very smooth, with easy access to online whiteboards, past paper banks, and all lesson feedback in one place. It also makes communication with parents very convenient. The biggest highlight for me has been the excellent support for tutors. It truly feels like you're always prioritised, which is really appreciated.

The JTC Education team is highly professional, extremely efficient and a lot of work goes into making sure that our work as tutors is as admin-light as possible so we can focus on doing our best as subject experts. They genuinely care about our experience as tutors just as much as they do about the students' progress.

Why Join Us
Our tutors' time and expertise add value from the very start — that's why all lessons, including the first, are paid.
All lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, will still be paid in full.
We focus on long-term student-tutor relationships, with regular weekly lessons. This not only helps you build a consistent schedule and predictable income, but also allows you to see real progress and form meaningful connections with your students.
You'll only be paired with students whose needs and goals align with your subject strengths, preferences, and availability. There's no need to bid or compete to win students – all students we match you with have already demonstrated serious and genuine interest.
All lessons take place uniquely online, so there are never any restrictions on where you can be. You can leverage timezone differences to work during more sociable hours, or complement local after-school slots. A good internet connection and professional setting is all you need.
We welcome different levels of involvement. Tutors can choose how many regular hours they'd like to commit.
Whether you prefer lessons grouped together or short gaps between sessions, we'll work with you to build a teaching schedule that works.
Our admin team manages communication with families, enforces policies, collects payments, and provides scheduling and technical support.
We are always available to support your growth through guidance, in-house resources, and feedback, to increase your value as an educator. We've helped teachers transition from the classroom to online tutoring, young talent take their first steps into the professional world, and everything in between.
Our academic consultancy team works with families and tutors to build tailored tutoring plans, set realistic goals, and provide guidance on lesson frequency. They'll also help you navigate any academic concerns that might crop up along the way.
With a view to making work more efficient and students' progress easier to monitor, we've built an in-house, fully integrated resource bank with thousands of past papers, worksheets, and progress trackers. No more digging through folders or fishing for links. Setting and tracking homework with this system takes seconds and saves hours.
Our easy-to-use app allows you to view your schedule, message students, share availability, track payments, create whiteboards, manage files, and sync all lessons to your personal calendar.
All tutor–family communication takes place via our in-app chat, keeping correspondence separate from personal channels, and ensuring appropriate safeguarding.
Tutors work on an agreed hourly rate and are paid in their preferred currency monthly, as outlined in a freelance contract. We absorb all currency fluctuations, VAT, transfer costs, and any client-facing promotions.
We offer competitive pay rates that fairly reflect a tutor's qualifications, experience, professionalism, and online proficiency. That's why we'll be able to offer you a personalised rate once we learn more about you. Hourly rates start at £40 for graduates, and increase with teaching experience, examiner roles, and advanced qualifications.

Application Process
Our application process is tailored to each tutor, allowing the opportunity for individual strengths to come to life.
Tell us about the subjects and exam boards you're familiar with, your background, qualifications, and availability preferences. Start the process by filling it out here.
Selected applicants are invited to submit a short video lesson (15–20 minutes) based on a specific prompt — usually a past paper question or a concept from a syllabus you teach. We appreciate this takes time, so we reciprocate by guaranteeing feedback on all video submissions, regardless of whether we decide to move forward or not.
We'll schedule a video call to get to know you better, ask any questions we may have, and answer any questions you may have for us.
Selection Criteria
Includes academic credentials, teaching experience, or roles as an examiner.
Shown through clear communication, punctuality, responsiveness, thoughtful preparation, and a polished presentation.
Aptitude with video call platforms, screen sharing, shared documents, whiteboards, images, and online resources to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons — or a willingness to learn.
Most of our students are based in the UAE (GMT+4), so we look for tutors whose availability aligns with after-school hours and weekends.
Fit Check
We're looking for PhD students who want a reliable, well-structured tutoring commitment alongside their research — not a casual side gig to fill gaps between terms.
We work best with PhD students who:
Can commit to a regular weekly schedule — a minimum of 4 hours per week, at fixed times.
Will treat tutoring as a professional commitment, not something to drop when deadlines or conferences come up.
Are available during after-school hours in the UAE (GMT+4) — typically late afternoon and evening UK time.
Can commit through the academic year and align time off with school holidays rather than university terms.
Intend to tutor for the duration of their PhD — not as a short-term stopgap.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
