All tutors are regularly interviewed to ensure they are up to date with our unique tuition methodology and the demands of each exam specification.
Thomas says: “History and other humanities disciplines can be challenging, requiring an individual approach for each student. Adopting a skill-based approach, I aim to make content engaging whilst still ensuring that students are well placed to deploy new knowledge during exam time. A key role of a tutor is bringing what can seem like dry academic text to life, and I hope to be able to use my passion for history to do just that! Once the content is engaging, learning necessary exam skills becomes a far lesser burden!
I enjoy working with students to figure out what’s going to work best; tailored approaches are necessary in a subject like history.”
Outside of tutoring Thomas enjoys rowing and cycling, as well as learning more about obscure Middle Eastern political history!
Thomas graduated from the University of Oxford in 2019 with a BA (Hons) in History having attended Dubai College where he achieved 10 A*s at GCSE level. Thomas has been tutoring A level History online since 2018, more recently gaining experience in GCSE History alongside JTC Education.
